Mission Statement
The mission of the Cordele/Crisp Industrial Development Council, Inc. shall be to assist in the retention of existing jobs and to foster employment opportunities that raise the per capita income of area citizens by assisting new and existing business and industry to locate and/or expand in Crisp County.

Commitment Statement
To accomplish its mission, the members of the Cordele/Crisp Industrial Development Council, Inc. commit to maintain a harmonious and cooperative working relationship between all its public and private sector representative members in order to fully utilize their collective resources in increasing employment opportunities for area citizens.

The IDC was founded in 1987 by the City of Cordele, Crisp County Board of Commissioners, and Crisp County Power Commission to promote, develop, and expand industry, agriculture, trade, and commerce for the citizens of Cordele / Crisp County, Georgia.

Funded by the Crisp County Power Commission, it has a 38-member Board of Directors, which includes seven ex-officio members. The primary responsibility of this council is to recruit new business and industry to the community, and create new jobs for the community.

The council, also, assists existing businesses and industry with expansion efforts to provide additional jobs, thereby, improving the quality of life of all the people of Crisp County. Printable Version
